Sara Hersh is an associate at the Los Angeles office of Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O'Keefe & Nichols. Sara graduated Tufts University with honors and after practicing in various states as an occupational therapist, pursued a career in law. Sara graduated from California Western School of Law and has practiced for over 20 years.
Sara's practice focuses on providing advice and representation to dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care professionals facing disciplinary proceedings by the Medical Board of California and other licensing boards, as well as in proposed adverse actions by healthcare plans.
Sara also defends professionals in civil malpractice cases from initial stages through trial, with an eye toward protecting the client's professional license, and coordinating with personal counsel and others as needed.
In her role as independent medical staff counsel to hospital medical staffs, Sara is called upon for advice in matters involving physicians who are subject to discipline by the medical staff for violations of medical staff bylaws. Sara has successfully represented physicians, healthcare clients and insurers in interviews, hearings, trials and binding arbitrations and on appeal in various courts and venues.
Sara is a member of the California Academy of Attorneys for Health Care Professionals and is a member of the Healthcare Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
