For 20 years, Mitzie Dobson has litigated cases in a variety of fields including medical malpractice, elder abuse and products liability. Ms. Dobson has defended individual physicians and hospitals in a wide variety of medical malpractice actions involving all medical specialties including spinal surgery, cardiology, pediatrics, gynecological and urological issues, oncology, orthopedic injuries, pathological issues, neurological injury, and birth injury. She works with a wide variety of insurance carriers as well as the County of Los Angeles and the Regents of the University of California.
While the primary focus of Ms. Dobson's practice is medical malpractice, she has also been extensively involved in cases involving medical devices and clinical trials. Additionally, she has handled multiple cases addressing conflicts of interest with regard to medical procedures and investigational devices. She has handled cases in both State and Federal Court. Further, she has assisted in developing medical causation defenses in tobacco litigation cases for many years.
Ms. Dobson received her undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. She received her J.D. in 1994 from Loyola Law School. She was an associate at Bonne Bridges Mueller O'Keefe & Nichols from graduation to 2002. She has been a shareholder with the firm since 2002. Ms. Dobson is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, SCAHRM, and multiple bar associations.
