Matthew Schroeder is an associate at the Los Angeles office of Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O'Keefe & Nichols, specializing in medical malpractice defense.

Matthew graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in English. While at UCSB, Matthew was named to the Dean's List and awarded an academic scholarship.

In 2010, Matthew received his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School. While at Southwestern, Matthew served as a Notes & Comments Editor for the Southwestern Journal of International Law and was published for his comment on the international impact of plastic pollution in the Pacific Ocean. He was a member of the Southwestern Moot Court Honors Program, whose team reached the quarter-finals at the national Gibbons Criminal Procedure Competition.

Matthew was also the recipient of the CALI "Excellence for the Future" Award for obtaining the highest grade in Legal Analysis, Writing, & Skills I, Advanced Criminal Procedure, and Civil Pretrial Practice. In 2009, he served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable S. James Otero of the United States District Court, Central District of California.

Matthew was admitted to the California Bar in 2010 and is licensed to practice before all courts of the State of California, as well as the United States District Court, Central District of California.
