During his vast experience in health care litigation trial work, Joel Douglas has achieved favorable outcomes for clients facing accusations involving medical malpractice, disciplinary proceedings, insurance fraud, legal malpractice, toxic torts, and product liability.

Focus Areas
Joel has built a special reputation for his distinctive and decisive defense of contentious he-said, she-said claims, charges of sexual misconduct, and the defense of psychiatrists and other mental health specialists. In addition to civil litigation, his expertise is also recognized in administrative law, where he regularly defends physicians and health care providers before licensing agencies, hospital boards, and peer review organizations. He also has expertise in health care fraud, as well as asbestos, toxic tort and product liability litigation.

Joel's comprehensive and consummate skills encompass the entire litigation cycle, from investigation and discovery to trial and appeal. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the California Academy of Attorneys for Health Care Professionals. He has served as an adjunct professor of law at Pepperdine University Law School and lectured at Loyola University School of Law and for numerous organizations.
