Alexis Amber is an associate at the Los Angeles office of Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O'Keefe & Nichols. Her primary area of expertise is medical malpractice defense.
Alexis graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont, California in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology and Organizational Studies. Her thesis research paper was titled, "The Artificial Heart: A Resource For Improving the Quality of Life of Its Recipients?" While at Pitzer College, she was a varsity athlete for the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Basketball Team and the Track & Field Team. She was a recipient of the Pitzer College Community Scholar Award in 1999, 2000 and 2001, and a recipient of the Pitzer College Trustee Community Service and Volunteer Recognition Award in 2001. Also while at Pitzer College, Alexis was a Teacher's Assistant and Work-Study Supervisor at a local elementary school.
In 2008, Alexis received her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California. While at Southwestern, Alexis served as the 2007-2008 managing editor of the Southwestern Journal of International Law (formerly, Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas), and was a staff member the previous year. She was a member of the Southwestern Moot Court Honors Program, and competed in the 2007 William B. Spong, Jr. Invitational Moot Court Competition in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was also a member of the Southwestern Women's Law Association and served on its Board for one year. In the summer of 2006, she clerked for the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office. Alexis was a recipient of the CALI "Excellence for the Future" Award (highest grade in the class) for Wills and Trusts in 2007.
Before law school, Alexis worked in the advancement office of Scripps College in Claremont, in both the planned giving department and as a research analyst.
Alexis is licensed to practice before all courts of the state of California, as well as the United States District Court, Central District of California.
