For California employers it is a requirement to post conspicuous notice to employees of their rights and certain obligations of the employer in the workplace.
Unfortunately, the requirements are changed quite frequently. Often, many of these changes take place during the course of the year requiring new posters on more than just an annual basis. As a service to our clients we are sending this reminder that changes are now required necessitating revised posters.
California Law requires the following update be made no later than October 8, 2010 - The Workers' Compensation portion of the poster has been updated to reflect significant amendments made to the Medical Provider Network (MPN) and employee information regulations.
Federal Law covers law changes already in effect -Specifically the EEOC has released a revised "Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law" poster. It updates information on the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA).
THESE ARE MANDATORY CHANGES.
There are many subscriptions services available to keep your posters up to date. For your convenience I have included 3 websites below of business offering these services. (We don't specifically endorse any of these business and only offer the sites as a sample of the myriad of options available to you.
